A prized variety

Grown from SL28 — one of the most celebrated coffee varieties in the world. SL28 was selected in 1930s Kenya for drought resistance; its deep roots let old trees bear for decades. It is the source of Kenya's signature blackcurrant intensity and juicy acidity. It's rare, too: just 573 coffees we track are grown from it.
